Santee Affordable Properties Are in A Thriving Part of San Diego
The city of Santee was incorporated into east San Diego County in 1980, located a few miles northeast of San Diego. It is surrounded by gorgeous lakes and nestled within beautiful hills, mainly serviced by the state highways 52 and 125. Neighboring communities such as El Cajon and Lakeside and can be accessed through interstates 8 and 15 and state highway 67.
Santee was originally named after George A. Cowles, one of the city’s founding fathers. As nearly half of its land remains undeveloped, it is one of the few American cities with adequate space to grow, the perfect environment for new construction and Santee affordable properties. Santee has become far more than a community of residential real estate. The city is now home to a modern downtown area boasting several commercial centers and a thriving business community that employs thousands of residents.
Santee offers two regional parks in Santee Lakes Regional Park and Mission Trails Regional Park. Mission Trails is one of the biggest urban parks in the country offering more than 40 miles of trails for hiking. Santee Lakes is frequented for camping, fishing and numerous annual events such as Movies by the Lake, the Spring “Eggstravaganza” and Santa at the Lakes.
