Enjoy the Fascinating History and Charming Atmosphere of Talmadge San Diego CA Homes
Located on the eastern edge of San Diego, the neighborhood known as Talmadge has some interesting history. This area is named for three sisters—Constance, Natalie, and Norma Talmadge—who were silent film stars in the 1920s. With such beginnings, it should be no surprise that this area is replete with some simply wonderful early twentieth century homes! Many Talmadge San Diego CA homse for sale in the area were built in or before the 1950s, giving this neighborhood a wonderfully charming atmosphere that you just won’t find in the newer planned communities. There’s definitely a real community spirit in this area, too. In the late 1920s, the Talmadge area was decorated with some stunning forged iron gates. In the 1990s, residents of the neighborhood raised more than 100,000 to restore the gates to their former glorious condition—a great example of what community spirit can achieve!
