National City Homes: Live in an Affordable Southern California Town

National City, San Diego County’s second-oldest town, sits 10 miles north of the United States/Mexico border and only about 10 minutes from southeast San Diego. National City homes are blessed with typical southern California weather, and the Pacific Ocean is only a short drive away, as are the many sights and sounds of San Diego city life. For a community with only about 60,000 residents, National City has an abundance of historic sites. Granger Music Hall, a newly restored country music venue, is on the National Register of Historic Places. The ten architecturally distinct row houses which populate Brick Row are also on the National Register. Home prices are below those of houses in San Diego and in the northern parts of the county. The mixture of climate and convenience that make San Diego so popular, combined with lower home prices, make National City one of San Diego County’s most popular destinations.
