Discover the Colorful History of Anaheim Hills CA Real Estate
Who isn’t familiar with Anaheim, California? Home to the Angels baseball team, it’s also located nearby Disneyland. Yet outside of those two features, people aren’t aware of much else about Anaheim. The 10th-most populated city in California, with a population of almost 350,000 and growing, Anaheim is a commercial center, as well as being a main hub for Southern California theme parks.
Anaheim Hills CA real estate is in a resplendent master planned community located in the Santa Ana Mountains. The area has one of the more lively beginnings of any area in Southern California. Founded by a cluster of German families to be a center for vineyards and other agriculture, the city was originally named Annaheim — German for “home by the Santa Ana River,” which was ultimately condensed by a letter. The grape crops were damaged in the late nineteenth century, which were then replaced by other California staples: oranges, lemons, and walnuts. At the outset Anaheim was mostly farmland, but with Disneyland making the area famous and Anaheim Hills being the primary choice for affluent residents, Anaheim is quite lovely.
