Apple Valley Realty: The Apple of Southern California’s Eye

California is not really known for its apples. That would be Washington State. California is more known for its citrus fruit – lemons and oranges – so what is it about the town of Apple Valley? Is it home to bustling Southern California apple orchards?  Actually, no: there’s not an apple to be seen, except at the supermarket. Initially, Apple Valley realty did have apple orchards, but the climate and irrigation problems killed off the orchards during the Great Depression. Today, it could be called “Ranch Valley,” as it is home to a wide array of ranches, built by people who want to get away from it all in the sprawling valley.

Apple Valley, isn’t some remote desert town: it’s a full-featured city, with ample shopping centers, park systems, golf courses, schools, and more, making it one of Southern California’s more sought after communities. The area is also home to some of the most lavish and luxurious houses in Southern California — often home to movie stars and the glitterati. However, this isn’t a Hollywood hotspot, it’s still a quiet place to raise a family.
